Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder is not only a basketball player for the city but the city is apart of his life.  It’s a place he calls home.  He will pledge $1 million through his family’s foundation to support Oklahoma victims.  In a statement, Kevin said, “As the day went on and I saw the footage and the casualties and the houses being blown away, it was tough to see. I call Oklahoma City my home. I go through Moore all the time. It’s unfortunate. We’re going to come together as a city like we always do and we’re going to bounce back.”

Kevin Durant plans on visiting hospitals, schools, and the areas that were hit to give some hope to the people  and the community.  Good for him.

Old Man Ebro from Hot 97′s morning show with Cipha Sounds, Rosenberg featuring K Foxx, announced he emailed his friend Jigga Man congratulations on the new baby.  The conversation went like this; emailed on some congratulation; “I emailed on some congratulations, send my love to the family, blah, blah, blah. He emailed me back and said it’s not true.”  Jayz replied,“It’s not true. The news is worse than blogs.”

I can’t believe another celebrity is not taking care of their financial business.  We all know Uncle Sam wants his money and he dose not play that.  He always waits to you owe so much money and them BAM!!!!!! Hits you with a huge bill that you can’t pay so he can lock you up and still have to pay your debt.  Mary J Blige is the celebrity that is hit with a tax lien by the IRS for $3.4 million.  Lauren Hill was just in the news a couple of weeks ago for not paying taxes.  Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder sent a letter to the judge on Lauren’s be half.  Now Mary has to go through her financial mess.

In February, the authorities in New Jersey hit her where she has a house for not paying taxes.  Back in March, she was hit with another tax lien from the authorities in Westchester where she owns another home, according to court documents.  Dam; twice in one year. SMH.  The IRS is claiming that the soul singer has not paid her taxes for several years and she owes $574,907 from 2009, $2.2 million from 2010 and $647,604 from 2011.  Plus, she hasn’t paid her state taxes either.  New Jersey authorities also mentioned she owes $901,769 in back taxes.  Mary is in a real financial mess.  She owes the bank $514,00 when she borrowed $500,000 and only paid part of the money.  Nevertheless, her charity, the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now, was hit with a law suit in 2011 when the organization failed to pay back a bank loan.  However, Mary J Blige said the foundation has been fixing their financial issues.

To add to her financial debt, Mary and her husband, Martin Isaac were sued by Signature Bank for borrowing $2.2 million and not paying the bank back.  Wow! “Mary has been and is continuing to work with her new team to resolve all these issues as quickly as possible,’ a member of her public relations staff said in a statement.” www.nydailynews.com

I hope Mary can fix this and fix it fast.  I do not want to hear she as to go to jail too.

Oh boy; another console.  Get ready for your kids and husband to ask for the new Sony PlayStation 4.  Lol.  Sony release a tease on Monday introducing the Sony PlayStation 4, however, fans will get a full unveil and details of the console a little before and during the Los Angeles Electronic Entertainment Expo which takes place every year.

The PlayStation 4, PS4, will go on sale just in time for the Christmas holiday season of course.

Archie Comics are pissing some people off.  Dan Parent who is the writer for the comic feels Archie comic is a play on real life situations.  The characters Kevin Keller gives a quick kiss to his gay boyfriend, Devon in Pop Tate’s Diner.  Now, usually in Archie Comics, you see lipstick on Archie’s face.  Jon Goldwater, who is the Publisher and co-Ceo of the comic, said any kiss in the comic is a  big deal.  When Kevin and Devon kiss, the women in the comic get very offended and has a fit.  The issue is to be released Aug. 7. “Kevin is kind of used to that, but Veronica records the whole thing and of course uploads it to the Riverdale equivalent of YouTube and that starts a bit of a debate,” said Parent.

This is not the first time Archie Comics has been in the hot seat of controversy.  Dan Parent wrote in one of the Archie Comics with Keller getting married.  The One Million Moms, a project of The American Family Association, asked Toys R Us not to display “Life With Archie” No. 16 near its checkout aisles.  However, Toys R Us did not, and the issue went on to sell out its print run.  This just made Dan Parent want to write another Archie Comic to push the edge again.

Co-Ceo Jon Goldwater said,” We certainly pride ourselves on being contemporary, but that’s not the reason why we’re showing `The Kiss.’ Just like when Kevin first told Jughead he was gay, it was in the natural course of conversation,” said Goldwater. “We are creating this in the same way. It’s just part of the story.”

This is going to make everyone go out and pick up a copy on Aug 7.

What is going on in the world today? Mother Nature struck again.  A tornado hit Oklahoma city suburb on Monday.  It left 9 children out 24 are found dead and 240 injured.  The National Weather Service gave a preliminary ranking of EF4, meaning, it was second most powerful type of tornado.  The wind was up to 200 mph.  This tornado flattened the entire neighborhoods and ruined houses, schools and hospitals, etc.  After the storm passed, funding love ones was difficult and scary.  People formed a human chain, passing one rescued child and person to another.  President Obama made a statement congratulating and praising storm rescuers.

On Sunday, Bey and daughter, Blue Ivy was spotted by fans in Brooklyn going to have lunch at Buttermilk Channel Restaurant.  Blue Ivy has gotten so big.  I cant believe Blue Ivy is 1 year and 2 months old already.  Time surely flies.

I was watching TVOne’s “Unsung” featuring Mint Condition.  This band is so amazing.  They have so much soul and passion in their music.  Their music speaks the truth and you can definitely relate to what they are singing about. Mint Condition’s music touches your soul.  They mix a little jazz, rock, hip hop, R&B soul, neo soul and a little pop flavor in their songs.  The band went through some many ups and downs.  They even lost one of their key member, Kerri Lewis, who married Toni Braxton, and they all decided to take a break.  The break was four years but they are back together doing what they do best and touring.

Mint Condition has been around for two decades and will continue give us great live music in the present and the future.
