Mets Host Yankees For Game 1 Of This Weekends Subway Series

The Yankees met up with the Mets tonight in Citi field. After a 53 minutes rain delay the two teams played with very few rain interruptions. But weather distraction must have gotten to Andy Pettitte’s head because in the bottom of the first he let 5 runs go.  . Pettitte was relieved by Wade in the bottom of the 7th. A-Rod, Jones, and Cano all hit homers later in the game closing in on the Mets at 6-4 in the 8th inning.The play of the night had to go to Mark Teixerira when he made a diving catch by first. In the 9th the Yankees had the chance to tie the game with two players on base but both Granderson and Teixerira were unable to find there opportunity. Mets take the first game of the series 6-4
