Phil Hughes who is a starter pitcher for the New York Yankees has been a hot topic on several Yankee round table shows. Many people believe the pitcher has talent but can not play in the major leagues currently and needs to be sent back to the minors and work on his performance. He pitched a highly disappointing game on Wednesday against the Braves. Just in the first inning alone Hughes gave up two homeruns (3-0). Besides the fact that it was 94 degrees in the stadium Wednesday afternoon Hughes felt the heat from fans and The Braves! Freddie Freeman, Martin Prado, Heyward and David Ross connected off Phil Hughes who is (7-6) this season.

Hughes gave up four homers, which cost the team the game. Most people are going hard on Hughes and all though you can’t deny his talent, he needs some further practice before getting up there. Within the next month I am sure we will see the next move for Hughes. The offense tried scraping for as many hits as they could but fell short final score of the game was 10-5 Braves.
